This photograph is showing unique sulfur grains which I named "Tear
Drop Sulfur Grains" in the vicinity of Crater I. During the molten
sulfur eruption at Crater I liquid sulfur was splashed up by the phreatic
explosion at Crater I. Those grains were sulfur droplets.

この写真に写っている硫黄粒は僕が「涙状硫黄」と呼んでいる硫黄粒だ。1号火口の水蒸気爆発によって吹き飛ばされた溶融硫黄が飛沫になって飛び散ってできたものだ。詳しくは僕の論文を参照してください。
